about
Situated a short drive north of London in merry Colchester, England, Lothlorien Stud is happily nestled in one of the nation's premier stud farm communities. Since the estate was acquired by the O'Daniels in 2023, the operation has become a fixture in Thoroughbred racing, showing and breeding excellence.
The stud strives to produce some of the brightest stars in Counter Canter racing — raising and training exceptionally well-bred Thoroughbreds in both steeplechase and on the flat. Each year, a world-class group of racehorses are outfitted in the renowned blood orange silks that have become notorious in Counter Canter's racing scene.
In addition to the stud's racing enterprise, talented individuals are eventually retrained as show horses to expand their successes and prove their potential in the breeding shed. The stud stands an exceptional group of sires and dams proven both on-track and in the show ring.
